How do you cite an authors name in APA?

To cite an author's name in APA style, place the author's last name followed by a comma, then their initials. For example:

One author:

Smith, J.

Two authors:

Smith, J., & Jones, M.

Three or more authors:

Smith, J., Jones, M., & Williams, T.

Organization as author:

American Psychological Association.

Citing a work with no author:

(Title of work). (Year of publication).

Additional Notes:

- If a work has more than one author, use an ampersand (&) between the last names of the final two authors.

- When citing a work with three or more authors, you can use "et al." after the first author's last name. For example: Smith et al.

- If a work has no author, use the title of the work in place of the author's name.

- When citing an organization as an author, use the full name of the organization.
