During the 1950s, and even through to her death in 1990, Lindberg wrote columns for _Aviation Week & Space Technology_ and _Air Force Magazine_. She also made several appearances on _The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson_.
Lindberg also made significant contributions to the history of aviation. In the early 1960s, she was one of the first people to write about the concept of a reusable launch vehicle. She also wrote about the importance of space tourism, and she predicted that it would become a reality in the 21st century.
In addition to her work as an engineer and aviation writer, Lindberg was also a successful businesswoman. She founded her own company, C.E. Lindberg Enterprises, which provided consulting and marketing services to the aerospace industry. She also served on the boards of several companies, including the Learjet Corporation.
