Who was looking for Anne Frank?

Anne Frank and her family went into hiding in July 1942, in order to escape the Nazis who were deporting Jews to concentration camps. On August 4th, 1944, the Nazis discovered their hiding place and arrested Anne, her sister Margot, and their parents, along with four other people who had also been living in the Secret Annex. The Nazis were specifically looking for Anne because she was a Jewish child and therefore was a target of the Holocaust.
