Who was the first poet in world?

It's impossible to name the first poet in the world. Poetry predates writing. Oral traditions of storytelling, song, and rhythmic speech existed long before written language developed in different parts of the world. We simply have no record of who might have been the earliest to create what we would recognize as poetry.
