A quatrain is a stanza composed of four lines. The first stanza of "Eros Turannos" is:
> She had the look of one who had beheld,
>
> Beyond the bliss of marriage, the strange peace
>
> That follows after knowledge: the wide eyes
>
> Of one whose secret no one else could share.
The last stanza is:
> She had the look of one who knew that love
>
> Had been, and was, and would be: she had seen
>
> The ultimate crown of love, the last defeat:
>
> Whose name is peace.
Both of these stanzas contain four lines, making them quatrains.
