Unless your bank account is looking quite severe.
February, love is in the air,
Unless you're single, then it's just a constant stare.
March comes in like a lion, they all say,
But usually it just brings more rain all day.
April showers, bringing May flowers? Not so fast,
April also brings allergies, a sneezing blast.
May, a month for picnics and sunshine bright,
But it's also when pollen starts its airborne flight.
June, a month for weddings, and BBQs too,
But don't forget sunscreen, or you'll be red and blue.
July, hot and sticky, a time for ice cream,
And complaining about the heat, it's a common theme.
August, the dog days, hot and humid, you see,
Just pray you haven't forgotten to turn on the AC.
September, back to school, the leaves start to turn,
But the heat wave lingers, making you yearn
For October, pumpkin spice and Halloween fun,
But also the realization that fall is almost done.
November, Thanksgiving, a feast for all,
But after the food coma, you'll need to hit the mall.
December, holidays, cheer and joy abound,
But by the end, you'll be exhausted, and ready to be found
Sleeping soundly, under a blanket of snow,
Waiting for January, so the whole cycle can flow.
