The world's first newspaper is generally considered to be Avisa Relation oder Zeitung which was printed in 1605 in Strasbourg, Germany.
While there were earlier printed news sheets, this publication was the first to be printed regularly and to contain a variety of news items, including foreign news, domestic news, and even some advertisements.
