Where was the printing press discovered?

The printing press wasn't "discovered" in the sense of finding something pre-existing. It was invented, and the invention is generally credited to Johannes Gutenberg in Mainz, Germany around the year 1440.

While Gutenberg didn't invent the concept of printing itself (woodblock printing existed in China long before), his innovation was the movable type system, which allowed for efficient and large-scale production of printed materials. This was a revolutionary development that had a profound impact on the spread of knowledge and information in Europe.
