When was print media started?

Print media has a long history, with the earliest known printed materials dating back to ancient China. The first printed books, known as xylographs, appeared in China during the Tang Dynasty (618–907). These books were made by carving characters onto wooden blocks and then inking and pressing the blocks onto paper or cloth. By the 11th century, xylograph printing had spread to Korea and Japan, and in the 15th century, it was introduced to Europe by Johannes Gutenberg. Gutenberg's invention of the printing press revolutionized the production of books and other printed materials, making them more affordable and accessible to a wider audience.
