Where the word library derived from?

The English word "library" derives from two Greek words: "biblio," meaning book, and "theke," meaning a box or storage place.

The term dates back to ancient Greece during the 3rd to 2nd centuries BCE in Alexandria, Egypt where a significant institution of learning and research housed a remarkable collection of manuscripts called 'bibliotheke'.
