When was the first comic book published?

The first comic book, as we know it today, is generally considered to be "Funnies on Parade", published in February 1933 by Eastern Color Printing Company.

However, the term "comic book" wasn't used at the time. It was a collection of comic strips reprinted from newspapers, and it's important to note that there were earlier publications that featured comics, such as "The Yellow Kid" from the 1890s.

So, while "Funnies on Parade" is the earliest known publication to be widely considered a "comic book," the history of comics goes back much further.
