What is the theme of book eggs?

The theme of the children's book "Eggs" by Jenny Diski is primarily the cycle of life and death, and the acceptance of change. While seemingly simple, the book subtly explores these themes through the observation of eggs hatching into chicks, growing, and eventually laying their own eggs, thus continuing the cycle. It shows the natural progression of life and how even though things change and some things end (the eggshells), new life and beginnings emerge.
