The collection of fairy tales we know as "Grimm's Fairy Tales" was compiled by the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and published in two volumes. These volumes, titled "Children's and Household Tales", are typically referred to as "Grimm's Fairy Tales".
The collection was expanded over several editions, but it never reached a ninth volume. The Brothers Grimm continued to revise and add stories throughout their lives, but they never published a ninth volume of their fairy tales.
