What are the two kinds of quotations?

Direct Quotation: Directly copies a writer’s exact words, usually enclosed in quotation marks.

Example: “The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things."

Indirect Quotation (Paraphrase): Restates someone else’s ideas or thoughts without directly copying their precise words.

Example: The Walrus announced that it was time for a discussion.
