Early Life and Career:
Japoy Lizardo was born in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. He started his career in showbiz as a child actor, appearing in the ABS-CBN drama series "Pangako Sa'Yo" in 2000. He then went on to star in other ABS-CBN shows such as "Tabing Ilog," "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay," and "Bcuz of U."
In 2003, Lizardo made his feature film debut in the teen comedy film "The Buzz," where he played one of the lead roles alongside Angelica Panganiban and Heart Evangelista. The film was a box office success and led to Lizardo's rise to fame.

Lizardo is married to actress Bea Alonzo, whom he met while they were both working on the soap opera "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay" in 2002. They got married in 2011 and have two children together.
